Once Again We Revisit the Income Ratio Leaders

Since April 2003, we've been tracking on financial performance of 40 to 50 public companies in the graphic arts industry. The original list was the 50 companies tracked on the old WhatTheyThink Stock Watch; we've added and deleted as the years and companies come and go.

The original list shrank to 40 in the 2007 review through a number of mergers, acquisitions, and attrition, and a few new names were added, including VistaPrint and InnerWorkings.

This year the list is up to 46, with three notable absentees, not because of M&A activity, but because the financial reports are not readily available. Quebecor World, whose 2007 financial reports seem to have gotten lost in bankruptcy court; Transcontinental, whose 2003-2005 reports are MIA, and Punch Graphics, whose 2003-2005 reports are unavailable due to corporate evolution: previous names, companies, business models, or similar reasons.
