Webinar: Color Your Mergers and Acquisitions Successful

Press release from the issuing company

Free WhatTheyThink webinar, sponsored by X-Rite, discusses color management considerations for mergers and acquisitions

WhatTheyThink - WhatTheyThink today announced the opportunity for industry professionals to attend a free printing industry educational webinar, Color Your M&A Successful. The session will be moderated by WhatTheyThink Senior Editor Cary Sherburne and feature panelists with deep industry knowledge and experience with structuring of successful printing businesses. The session is scheduled for Wednesday, September 10th, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM EDT (-4 GMT).

No-charge registration is available by visiting WhatTheyThink.com and selecting the Webinars tab.

“As the industry continues to consolidate,” said Sherburne, “the remaining companies tend to be stronger as evidenced by the improving profit situation reported in our Economics & Research Center by Dr. Joe Webb.  However, mergers and acquisitions still have their challenges, and there are so many things to consider.  One that often gets forgotten until it becomes an issue is establishing a common color management platform across the combined companies.  Join us as we take a deep dive into this important topic.”

Sherburne will be joined by industry experts, including:

Warren Werbitt, Founder & Fisherman, Pazazz Printing in Montreal, a communications company offering a full range of Cross Media Integrated (CMI) marketing solutions all centrally located in Montreal.  Werbitt has gone through several acquisitions and has implemented industry-leading color measurement and management strategies.

Paul Reilly, Partner, New Direction Partners. Paul was formerly the Chief Executive Officer, President and Chairman of the Board of Cenveo, Inc. He has as much or more experience with acquisitions as anyone in the industry, both from the perspective of the acquiring company and as a consultant facilitating mergers and acquisitions.

Peter Muir, President of Bizucate, a business development and marketing consultancy.  Peter has extensive field experience in working directly with companies as a trainer and consultant.  He is a well-known speaker at industry events and has a broad perspective relative to what works—and what doesn’t—in making a printing company successful.

Paul Biernat, Global Director of Operations, Graphic Measures (GMI).  GMI certifies, monitors and measures the performance of packaging suppliers and helps brand owners control the variables through print facility certification and scientific, repeatable measurement of global packaging.

“The ultimate goal in any merger or acquisition is to end up with a combined organization that is more efficient, effective and profitable than either were on their own,” said Eric Vessels, President of WhatTheyThink.”And a key element is standardization across plants and departments, including accounting systems, print MIS solutions, HR practices and more. We appreciate the generosity of X-Rite in sponsoring this important industry event, making it available to our viewers at no charge.

Attendees will be able to participate in a live question and answer session to get the most from the experience and will be able to view and listen to the presentation using a standard Internet browser (Flash-enabled) with audio streamed via computer.
