Are you confident in your workforce, or does it induce a panic attack? The printing industry is in a period of transformation driven by generational changes, workforce shifts, and emerging technologies. With skilled employees retiring, quiet quitting on the rise, and a growing number of workers disengaged from their roles, print service providers (PSPs) must rethink how they equip their teams for the future. Reskilling, upskilling, and cross-skilling can be powerful strategies to counteract these trends, ensuring businesses remain resilient and competitive.

Reskilling is essential for keeping employees relevant in a rapidly evolving industry. By training staff to take on new or adjacent roles, print businesses can ensure continuity, enhance flexibility, and reduce reliance on hiring temporary employees or outsourcing. Reskilling can facilitate internal mobility, allowing employees to transition from outdated skill sets and remain motivated in their roles and responsibilities. Implementing structured learning programs, including mentorship, hands-on training, and remote learning opportunities, helps ensure successful role transitions.
