Tax Reform for Print Businesses: New Tax Benefits for Capital Investment

Tax Reform for Print Businesses: Capital Investment Strategies

The new tax reform legislation is complex with a multitude of moving parts, and it can be easy to fail to take advantage of new provisions, or fall afoul of others, that can substantially decrease—or inadvertently increase—your tax burden. With the 2017 tax filing season just about over, now is the time to plan properly for 2018 and beyond, when the full impacts of the new law will start to be felt.

The second installment covers capital investment. Specifically, is it better to purchase or lease capital equipment? What has the new law changed vis-à-vis depreciation deduction? What is a good capital investment strategy based on the provisions in the new tax law?

The presenters for this webinar will be:

Mark Nuzzaco, Vice President of Government Affairs at APTech

Edward Bortnick, Managing Partner at SKMB Public Accountants

Joseph Webb, Ph.D., Director of WhatTheyThink’s Economics and Research Center and President of Strategies for Management

Recognizing that not all print businesses are the same, this installment of the Tax Reform for Print Businesses webinar series will focus on the specific investment implications of the new law on establishments of all sizes.

APTech and WhatTheyThink also gratefully acknowledge the assistance of Stephen Entin, Senior Fellow, Tax Foundation, Washington, D.C.
