Ripon Printers Updates Bindery Capabilities with Purchase of an HD Kolbus 153.P Three-knife Trimmer

Press release from the issuing company

Ripon, Wis. – Ripon Printers further enhanced its bindery throughput by acquiring an HD 153.P three-knife trimmer. The new addition, which replaces an older Kolbus (now owned by Muller Martini) trimmer, features newer technology that delivers higher speeds, more versatility, and superior quality control.

In searching for the replacement, Ripon’s production team became aware of and ultimately purchased the Kolbus three-knife trimmer through Print Finishing Partners (PFP) at the recent Print® 19 conference held at Chicago’s McCormick Place.

“Paying attention to every component in our production chain enables Ripon to maintain fast turnarounds and high reliability,” says Julie Newhouse, president of Ripon Printers. “I’m proud of how our production team continually identifies ways to improve and employs outstanding due diligence to every equipment and system acquisition.”

Heading the equipment evaluation were Jeff Spence, Ripon’s vice president of operations, and Greg Peterson, finishing manager. Ripon Printers offers high capacity bindery capabilities combined with specialized finishing equipment to enhance virtually any print project.
