LED-UV Enhances Goss M600 On The Island Of Mauritius

Press release from the issuing company

River Falls, Wis. – AMS Spectral UV partner GWS Printing Systems reports it has successfully provided a reconfigured, reconditioned Goss M600 press equipped with X Series™ LED-UV curing technology to Mauritius-based high-quality printer Caractère Ltée.

The strategic system setup does not require a traditional gas dryer thanks to its LED curing system, which achieves superior drying results and color brilliance when compared with a conventional web press setup.

When discussing the new installation, GWS Commercial Director Eric van Kessel stated: “The decision to equip the Goss M600 with a LED-UV curing system was the result of a long and detailed study, done with Caractère Ltée and the supplier of the UV-system, AMS Spectral UV. We are convinced that this unique press layout will serve Caractère Ltée well and will enable it to produce a completely new range of products in an environmentally-friendly way.”

The press was installed over the summer, and is now producing quality work in an eco-conscious way for the magazine and commercial printer. AMS Spectral UV has equipped numerous Goss M600 presses with LED-UV curing technology, and is the world leader in manufacturing and supporting systems for this specific press make and model.

AMS Spectral UV technology is now in use on the island of Mauritius, which is located in the Indian Ocean.
