Pageflex Brings Variable Print Alive at IPEX

CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--April 1, 2002--Pageflex, Inc. technologies will produce variable data solutions--ranging from those driven by a database to those ordered from an interactive Web site--in eight locations covering three halls of the IPEX 2002 exposition. IPEX is the largest International tradeshow for the graphic arts industry and is held only every four years. Pageflex will demonstrate its products throughout the entire show. Additionally several partner companies will demonstrate Pageflex products at these exhibitions to be held at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK, April 9th to 17th. Pageflex, the leading developer of dynamic page composition technologies, licenses its award-winning products worldwide to Web-to-print companies, application service providers, customer relationship management (CRM) companies, print service providers, and corporations. Its product line includes: * Pageflex(TM) Mpower(TM) -- Pageflex's industry-leading customization software positioned to support Web-to-Print marketing campaigns. * Pageflex Persona(TM) -- the easy-to-use solution for variable publishing on the desktop. Persona includes many of the same features as Pageflex Mpower for producing high-quality printed output. * Pageflex .EDIT(TM) -- the first real-time, browser-based document editor. .EDIT turns an Internet browser into a sophisticated desktop publishing tool. IPEX will be the first European showing of this new, state-of-the-art technology, which will be released later in Q2 2002. IPEX attendees who receive a product demonstration from Pageflex, also will receive a trail version of Persona. Called "Persona Test Drive," the software is fully functional for 30 days. Xerox Demos Pageflex Products Pageflex technologies will support variable production solutions in five locations within the 6,500 square meters of the Xerox booth (Hall 3A), the largest vendor space at IPEX. Pageflex Mpower's variable document creation capabilities will be featured during demonstrations of Xerox's new DocuColor iGen3(TM) Digital Production Press. The native PDF capabilities of Mpower and its ability to import Adobe InDesign files also will be demonstrated at an Adobe kiosk within the Xerox booth. Daily "How To" demonstrations of Pageflex Mpower in a Variable Information Theater within the Xerox booth will enable IPEX attendees to learn about Pageflex's unique flexible templates. Pageflex personnel will present these informative tutorials. Pageflex Persona will be shown sending variable data to a Xerox DocuColor 2060 in the Xerox New Business of Color Zone. Visitors additionally can learn about creating these files in the hands-on Xerox Document Create and Control Zone. Indigo, EFI, and NCS Integrated Solutions In the Indigo booth (Hall 5, Stand 750), Pageflex will provide ongoing, live demonstrations of their full product line. Pageflex will send live Personalized Print Markup Language (PPML) output from Mpower and Persona to Indigo's digital presses. As a founding member of the Print On Demand Initiative (PODi), Pageflex was instrumental in the development of PPML. Electronics For Imaging, the world leader in software and hardware imaging solutions for network printing, will demonstrate how its latest generation Fiery technology offers variable data printing capabilities by utilizing Pageflex Persona -- Fiery version to maximize productivity. EFI's VDP solutions will be on display in Hall 5, Stand 459. xMedia Publishing, a Pageflex European distributor, will demonstrate Mpower, Persona, and .EDIT in the NCS Integrated Solutions booth (Hall 4, Stand 557). xMedia delivers e-commerce solutions integrated with Mpower for document customization and personalization for print and the web in the UK and Denmark.
