SeaChange CEO and President Wendi Breuer Awarded NAWBO Woman Business Owner of the Year

Press release from the issuing company

Minneapolis, Minn. – The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) honors women business owners or partners who are “shaking up the status quo, contributing to our economy and supporting other women-owned businesses.” Wendi Breuer, CEO and president of SeaChange Print Innovations, is among those women and will be given top honors at the Minnesota Chapter’s Achieve! Awards Celebration.

The group’s most prominent award, Woman Business Owner of the Year recognizes the innovation and perseverance of a woman business owner who has experienced noticeable success operating a business that has grown exponentially over the past year.

“Wendi is an exceptionally strong leader. She is a true visionary and gets results through inspiring her team. She is an expert within the print industry and has been able to cut through barriers and achieve success in a highly male dominated industry,” notes Mary Nutting, NAWBO board president and owner and president of CorTalent.

“Aside from Wendi’s skills and talents,” Mary continues, “she is such a genuinely nice person and is always talking about ‘giving back’ – whether it is through her volunteer efforts or just helping someone else succeed.”

Wendi’s quick to note that while the award recognizes a single person it’s a reflection of the culture and collaboration that can be seen throughout SeaChange. “As we celebrate our fifth anniversary this year, I’m constantly awed by the transformation and growth we’ve created. And that couldn’t have happened without our strong core values and culture based on respect for each others’ perspectives and contributions.”

Since its launch in 2014, SeaChange has grown to more than 100 employees and invested more than $10 million in new equipment, technology and IT infrastructure. The company has reached $21 million in sales – 75% growth in just five years – all while giving back to the community with financial donations and volunteer hours.

“The list of women who have won this award before me is inspiring,” says Wendi. “I’m immensely grateful to be recognized alongside such a remarkable group of women.”
