Thursday, August 01, 2002
San Francisco, California, August 1, 2002 --Pacific Printing and Imaging Association and Printing Industries of Northern California have signed an agreement to share administrative services to save overhead expenses and increase member programming. The new arrangement is effective October 1 this year. Both organizations will remain in their present locations and maintain their separate boards and identities. The administrative savings will result in new programs being offered from both locations. For example, PPI members will see a new industry promotion with a new PPI Buyers Guide and a Print Buyers Tradeshow that will be held next year. New group discount programs will also be offered to both organizations. PPI covers six states: Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Alaska, and Hawaii. PINC represents firms in Northern California and Nevada. John Busch, PPI President said, "We're excited about working together. The relationship is all about creating more value with fewer dollars, while at the same time being able to keep our own identity and board of directors."
