IST Dedicates New Facility, Expands Research and Production Capability

Bolingbrook, IL, IST Metz, the parent company of IST America, has expanded its research and production capability through the addition of a new, 60,000 square foot building at its headquarters in N¸rtingen, Germany. The new building, which includes administrative facilities, becomes the hub of activity for the company, which serves the worldwide ultraviolet curing market. In dedicating the building at a ceremony in September, IST America president Joachim Jung commented: "Our nearly 300 employees and 2000 sales of some $42 million make IST Metz the largest and most successful supplier of ultraviolet and related drying and curing equipment to the graphic arts industry in the world. The steady growth of IST Metz and its worldwide subsidiariesówhich necessitated additional spaceóis a direct result of the broad acceptance of IST products. Our new and expanded facilities enable IST America to service printers and converters in North America using the absolute latest in engineering and production techniques." IST America Corporation is the North American subsidiary of IST Metz GmbH, the premier manufacturer of ultraviolet drying and curing systems for graphic arts and industrial applications. Each IST ultraviolet system is engineered and manufactured to exacting specifications. Since its founding in 1977, IST has produced more than 6000 ultraviolet units and more than 20,000 lamps, with some 80 percent in graphic arts applications. IST installations are in 56 countries around the world.
