Las Vegas Color Graphics Installs Two HP Indigo 12000 Digital Presses to Deliver High-Impact Large Format Print

Press release from the issuing company

Las Vegas Color Graphics, a leading full service commercial printer, has completed installation of a second HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press to keep up with demand for its new line of premium, personalized products for its conference and events customers from casinos and resorts.

After a first HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press was acquired in May, the printer launched a new portfolio of highly customized and data personalized color print products taking advantage of the digitally printed 29 inch sheet size combined with high-end finishing on UV equipment.

“The sheet size is the success for us, opening the possibility to deliver a very unique product without giving up fast turnaround,” said John Scheffler. “The sky is now the limit with this new capability. We can offer any quantity of promotional print with targeted information for direct mail.”

Las Vegas Graphics takes the personalized Indigo B2 sheets and runs them through UV presses, adding spot gloss, raised print and special effects.

Huge demand for the new products from its customers, including promoters of sporting events, concerts, gambling and golf tournaments, resulted in the printer adding an additional HP Indigo 120000 last month. The two presses are now operating 24/7 in three shifts.

According to Scheffler, the two new Indigo presses have significantly boosted the overall share of digital printing at Las Vegas Color and the products are extremely popular among its clientele who use “glitz and glamour” to attract business, and are boosting their overall use of digital print.

The HP Indigo 12000 Digital Press offers seven-color printing with a wide color gamut. Scheffler says he is taking advantage of the extra set of HP Indigo orange, violet and green ElectroInks to deliver premium, high-coverage pieces with deeper and richer color.

HP Indigo’s liquid electrophotography (LEP) technology, using HP Indigo ElectroInk, delivers crisp linework, attractive images and smooth vignettes with a very thin ink layer that gives uniform gloss between the ink and substrate.
