Against the traditional backdrop of Chicago’s towering skyscrapers and hotbed gathering for the printing industry, Koenig & Bauer (US) is pleased to be exhibiting again at PRINT 18, the elite trade show for the graphic arts industry. This year, however, will offer an even extra special experience with a number of new announcements, including its latest innovations for the commercial market, its newly branded re-launch, and its selection as a 2018 Printing Industries of America InterTech Technology award recipient. PRINT 18 will be held from September 30 to October 2, 2018 at McCormick Place South in Chicago. Koenig & Bauer (US) will be located at Booth 529.

One of the first distinctions that PRINT show-goers will notice this year is the firm’s new name. On the occasion of its 200th anniversary last year, the global press manufacturing leader company went back to its roots and returned to its founding name "Koenig & Bauer" as part of a global brand re-launch. In a continuation of this rebranding this year, PRINT attendees will now see signage for Koenig & Bauer (US) at its booth to be aligned with this new brand and to better reflect its international stature in the graphic arts industry.

On the opening day of the show, Koenig & Bauer (US) will be presented with the prestigious Printing Industries of America (PIA) 2018 InterTech Technology Award for its Rapida LiveApp before an audience of industry leaders. The Rapida LiveApp, the first of its kind in the industry, was one of twelve of the 29 entries to be chosen to receive an InterTech Technology Award. It was deemed by the judges as meeting the award criteria of being truly innovative and expected to have a major impact on the graphic communications industry. The InterTech Technology Award will be presented during the 2018 Premier Print Awards and InterTech Technology Awards Reception & Ceremony, Sept. 30 at the J.W. Marriott in Chicago during Print 18.
