Topobal s.r.o. invests in new ROLAND 705 LV EVOLUTION

Topobal, one of Slavakia's most successful packaging printers, bought their first ROLAND 706 LV HiPrint approx.15 years ago.

This was a milestone in the history of this Slovakian packaging printing company and heralded the start of a productive era followed by years of steady growth. Significant improvements in productivity, product quality and efficiency were all made possible – especially following the installation of a second Manroland press in 2012: a ROLAND 706 3B LV HiPrint.

The new challenge facing TOPOBAL was how could they meet increasing market demand by further improving their productivity?

The answer was further investment so in 2018 TOPOBAL bought Manroland's latest offering, the ROLAND 705 LV EVOLUTION press proven for its high efficiency, shorter make-ready time and reduced waste. This move was undoubtedly another important milestone in the company’s history.

“We have been active in the market since 1993 and have been producing full-color printing cartons and cardboard folders for various industries including the food industry throughout Slovakia and abroad,” said Mr. Pavol Suja, the company’s owner.

Shorter make-ready time

The Semi-Automatic Plate Loading (PPL) system incorporated in the ROLAND 705 LV EVOLUTION enables easy plate changing and the operator no longer needs to open the protection grids. The blanket and impression cylinder can be washed automatically at the same time plates are being changed. This saves up to 7 minutes per job change. Make-ready time and labor costs are significantly reduced, while profit margin and productivity are boosted and competitiveness in a crowded market is strengthened.

Less waste sheets

The unique features of the ROLAND 705 LV EVOLUTION includes the TripleFlow inking unit, smart speed compensation for inking and dampening units, effective anti-ghosting solutions - all of which considerably reduces the number of wasted sheets.
