Crawford Technologies Takes Lead Role at Xploration® 18

Toronto, Ont. – Crawford Technologies, provider of innovative document solutions that streamline, improve and manage customer communications, will participate in a number of events at Xplor International’s Xploration® 18. CrawfordTech will host a pre-conference workshop, will be honored with two top awards from Xplor and the company will also be leading several workshops throughout the conference. Xploration 18, known as The Customer Communications Conference, is dedicated to meeting the ever-changing needs of the digital document and customer communications industry.

Crawford Technologies will be awarded Xplor’s Technology of the Year for Auto Tagger for Accessibility, a solution that automatically tags and converts documents and communications into print-ready Accessible PDF (WCAG 2.0 and PDF/UA) or Accessible HTML5. In conjunction with Unum Insurance, CrawfordTech will also be awarded Xplor’s Application of the Year for its work with Unum using Operations Express and QA in the Cloud. The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, April 17 at 11:30 a.m.

The workshops Crawford Technologies will be presenting include:

  • “Solution Snapshot by Crawford Technologies” in Salon 14, Tuesday, April 17 at 10:16 a.m. This fast-paced session will introduce Crawford Technologies products and services.
  • “Automating Production and Testing with Multiple Vendors” in Salon 13, Tuesday, April 17 at 3:00 p.m. Presented by Scott Baker from Crawford Technologies and Wade Redmond from Unum Insurance, this session will explore how Unum was able to implement QA in the Cloud with Crawford Technologies, enabling the automation of delivery, testing and validation of documents handled by numerous vendors.
  • “Making Cruise Ship Documents Accessible – Publishing to ADA Compliant” in Salon 13 Wednesday, April 18 at 9:30 a.m. This session explores what is required in terms of accessibility by cruise lines and the tourism industry when providing mission-critical variable and variably published documents. This session will be presented by Dennis Quon from CrawfordTech and Steve Keca from RR Donnelley Healthcare.
  • “Are You Doing Everything to Secure Your Enterprise Content?” in Salon 14, Wednesday, April 18 at 11:00 a.m. Ernie Crawford, M-EDP, president of Crawford Technologies, shares the pragmatic steps a business should take to create a successful multi-pronged data security strategy and how to effectively build it into each step of the customer communications management journey.

Crawford Technologies previously announced that, in addition to the workshops, the company will be hosting a complementary pre-conference workshop on Monday, April 16 from 1:00 to 4:30 p.m. that will explain the steps organizations should take to implement accessible documents.
