Idealliance Issues Call for Participants In Its Third Annual Mail Industry Survey

Press release from the issuing company

Key research program seeks input from all members of the mail supply chain. Survey results to help shape industry-USPS advocacy and programs.

Alexandria, Va. – Idealliance, the global association for the Graphic Communications Industry, is inviting mail owners, printing and mailing services providers, transportation and logistics companies, equipment and technology partners, and all members of the mail supply chain to participate in its third annual Mail Industry Survey. The survey, which gathers feedback and insights on the mail supply chain with a special focus on U.S. Postal Service customer-facing programs and services, is a key data source driving industry-USPS advocacy work and the development of new mailing-related standards and training.

“Anyone in the industry whose work touches on mailing should take this opportunity to make their opinions known by taking part in this survey,” says David Steinhardt, Idealliance President and Chief Executive Officer. “The results of this ongoing research study program, now in its third year, provide significant information about frontline industry experience with USPS programs and services, and help pinpoint the direction of Idealliance’s postal and mailing-related activities and collaboration with the Postal Service over the next year.”

Steinhardt notes that results of the survey are instrumental in:

  • Focusing Idealliance’s member-driven working groups and Idealliance’s work with the Mailers’ Technical Advisory Committee on key initiatives with the USPS.
  • Supporting Idealliance’s discussions with the USPS, U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General, and Postal Regulatory Commission executives on areas for improvement.
  • Enhancing current and potential new guidelines and specifications for the mail supply chain.
  • Creating training programs to boost the skills and advance the careers of professionals working in the mail supply chain.

“The USPS is THE critical partner for mail owners and supporting creation, production, and distribution partners, but a viable Postal Service is based on an efficient and synchronized mail supply chain whose businesses depend on the market’s demand for print and integrated communication and commerce,” says Steve Colella, Vice President of Postal Affairs, The Calmark Group, and Idealliance Postal Operations & Technologies Council Co-Chair. “Idealliance works on many fronts to advance successful Industry-USPS communication and collaboration, and the information we receive from our annual mail survey enables us to focus our resources and efforts on those areas that are most important to everyone in the mail supply chain.”

The survey should take no longer than 20-25 minutes to complete. All responses are strictly confidential. Click here to participate. Deadline for completion is March 31, 2018. For more information, contact David Steinhardt at (703) 837-1066 or [email protected]
