GPA Announces Plans for Dscoop Dallas

Monday, March 05, 2018

Press release from the issuing company

Chicago, Ill. – GPA, the leader in substrate solutions for digital, offset, and wide format printing, announces their plans for Dscoop Dallas, taking place from March 25-28 in Dallas, TX. GPA’s passionate team of experts will showcase an impressive collection of products making their Dscoop debut at booth 106.

GPA’s focus will be on introducing exciting new items that open up profitable opportunities for print service providers, graphic designers, and brand owners alike. Touch Class® Specialty Fine Papers are distinctive papers that offer a rich tactile feel and resistance to fingerprints, water, and oils. Exclusively available in the North American market through GPA, Touch Class® papers are excellent for restaurant menus, museum maps, wedding save-the-dates, family photo cards, birth announcements, and more. Their unique surface treatment makes them the first uncoated papers in the world that perform beautifully with post-press embellishments produced by Scodix and MGI technologies.

Another North American GPA exclusive making its Dscoop debut is Folex® Platinum and Gold Pressure Sensitive Polyester for HP Indigo Presses. As stunning as they are hardworking, these substrates are perfect for creating luxury product labels and premium point-of-purchase displays. GPA will also introduce Ultra Digital® Gold and Silver Rigid Vinyl, substrates with an opulent metallic luster that adds an air of indulgence while delivering the rugged performance expected from a synthetic.

For wide format presses, they will feature GPA Metalized Styrene, which have the appearance of thick metal sheets without the added weight. Their thick styrene base and thin metal top layer make these sheets lightweight and durable, which is ideal for high-end signage and point of purchase displays. Rounding out GPA’s featured lineup is AlumiGraphics® GLOW, a glow-in-the-dark aluminum foil media. With its slip-resistant surface and striking luminescence, AlumiGraphics® GLOW make it easy to create floor graphics that command attention even in pitch-black conditions.

GPA will have a dynamic presence throughout the show floor at Dscoop Dallas, including in the on-site conference guide which will feature GPA’s Ultra Digital® line of papers. A variety of coating manufacturers will also rely on GPA substrates to illustrate their capabilities. Teaming up yet again, Zünd and GPA will showcase the unlimited potential of pairing high-quality substrates with innovative cutting technology. Zünd will be running live demonstrations of their latest equipment during the show on GPA’s Ultra Digital® 14 pt. White C1S Board. Visitors can witness this technology in action at booth 16 and take a sample with them for fresh ideas to enhance their finishing capabilities and efficiency.

This year, GPA will reveal an updated booth layout designed to make each visitor’s experience more engaging. The fresh design also makes it easier to explore the possibilities available through GPA, putting the focus on different substrates and the opportunities they can lead to.
