Press release from the issuing company

San Francisco, CA, August 31, 2000 - httprint.com Inc., a Full Service Provider (FSP) of e-commerce solutions for the print industry, today announced it has acquired Boston-based PrintConnect, the Internet-based customer relationship management service for the print industry. Terms of the deal were not disclosed but included cash and equity as well as a fresh cash infusion from PrintConnect's investors. httprint is currently exhibiting at Seybold San Francisco, booth #3321. Headquartered in Boston, PrintConnect will strengthen San Francisco and London-based httprint's Northeast U.S. presence. httprint will assume PrintConnect's network of printers, and their current customers will be migrated to the httprint solution. In addition, PrintConnect's strategic alliances with Digital Arts Exchange (DAX), Staples.com and DiMS!, the print management software solution for the print and packaging manufacturers, will fall under the httprint umbrella. httprint now becomes DiMS! North America's exclusive partner. Both httprint and PrintConnect offer solutions for the printer and customer of any size to streamline their print procurement and production process and place a high priority on expert customer service available both online and offline," said Mark Porter, president and CEO of httprint. "We are thrilled to welcome PrintConnect to the httprint family and anticipate a smooth transition in all areas." PrintConnect's CEO Erik C. Harrell will join httprint as vice president of business development. "The time was right for PrintConnect to join a market leader, and httprint most closely aligned with our existing business model that emphasizes customer relationship management," said Harrell. "Speaking for the PrintConnect team, we are excited about the increased opportunities for our printers, customers and partners now available through the httprint network."
