Bell and Howell to Feature Criterion Apex Sorter at National Postal Forum

Durham, N.C. – The National Postal Forum is widely regarded as the mailing and shipping industry’s premier educational and networking event, attracting more than 4,000 professionals every year. This year Bell and Howellwill be showcasing its sorting, software, parcel and service solutions in Booth 401 of the NPF Exhibit Hall from May 21-24in Baltimore.

Bell and Howell’s booth will feature live demonstrations of the Criterion Apex DM sorter and its newest addition, the Indicia Printer. This high-speed sorter features new technology that allows users to easily sort heavyweight, heavy-letter, slick/glossy or tall mail and much more at operating speeds up to 72,000 pieces per hour. 

The revamped Criterion Apex DM now features the following technology upgrades. 

  • Guides throughout the system that support mailpieces above the maximum specified height for letters
  • Improved diverting into sort bins through an improved three-finger diverter and improved bin paddle
  • Pre-programmed feeder modes that optimize first- and second-pass mail processing for difficult-to-process mailpiece types

Additionally, Booth 401 will include information and displays on the following:

  • IMb-Vestigate® software applications that compares USPS unclaimed postage reports against data from the NetSort Sorting Platform or manually imported Mail.dat files, and provides the data needed to validate or dispute USPS results
  • Parcel packaging automation systems, including CartonWrap
  • ParcelMgr and other parcel-sortation and encoding solutions
  • Bell and Howell Services, including multi-vendor service, preventative maintenance and product refurbishment
