Extensis: Free Copy of FontDoctor with Purchase of Suitcase 10

Press release from the issuing company

PORTLAND, Ore.--May 16, 2002--Extensis today announced it is offering all new Suitcase users a free copy of Morrison SoftDesign's popular FontDoctor product. FontDoctor is currently available for the suggested retail price of $69.99, and is the industry standard software for font problem diagnosis and repair. For existing registered Suitcase 10 users, FontDoctor is available for download from the Extensis website at http://www.extensis.com for a special price of $29.95. FontDoctor will scan a user's font folders (on local hard drives or over a network) to locate and repair common font illnesses, including missing PostScript fonts, missing bitmaps, corrupt/damaged fonts, font ID conflicts, extra font sizes, mixed fonts types, andlots more. "Our goal is to provide customers with the strongest suite of tools for their font management needs," said Michael Wong, Suitcase product manager for Extensis. "Suitcase and FontDoctor work well together to offer a complete solution to the problems users have with managing their fonts." In Mac OS X, there is a minimum of four Fonts folders available to users, making font management more critical than ever before. With Suitcase 10.1, users can now view fonts in all Mac OS X font directories, and activate or de-activate fonts in Cocoa, Carbon and Classic applications.
