Colter & Peterson to showcase world-class Microcut Systems at Graphics of the Americas

Press release from the issuing company

Paterson, NJ – Winter has arrived in North America so it can’t be too soon to start planning for the 2017 Graphics of the Americas Show. Microcut/Colter & Peterson (booth 533) will feature a variety of world-class and value laden Microcut® retrofit systems at the February 16-18 event, which has a new venue this year: the Broward Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

In recent years, C&P customers from Mexico, Central and South America attending GOA have shown increasing interest in new and affordable Microcut systems. When paired with any paper cutter, including Colter & Peterson’s top performing PRISM® and SABER® brand lines, Microcut can boost productivity 50% or more. Plus, they are easy to install and need little maintenance.

Five automated retrofit versions will be on display this year, with systems available for small, medium or larger sized operations that allow printers to take on work that others can’t do. All save valuable time by memorizing cut sequences for future use. When the back gauge positions itself for each cut, it makes a precise trim within 1/64th of an inch.

Microcut PLUS is a good choice for larger format printers. Benefits include a 12” wide format touch screen with money-saving microcip® and microfacts® features. Programs are uploaded from the network connection with a USB device using CIP3 and CIP4 files, and no additional hardware or software is needed.

Microcut COLOR WS has won favor with dealers and medium sized printers at GOA the last couple of years. With an 8” wide format touch screen for short and simple set-up, this retrofit directs the back gauge to the correct position quicker via a computer guidance system.

Microcut JR and Microcut B-65 are solid choices for smaller shops. Microcut JR works well with paper cutters less than 37” in size and sports advanced programming options. Label and sheet divide requires only a few data entries to produce work. Microcut B-65 is a turnkey clamp/control system with state-of-the-art electronics that brings any flywheel cyclical paper cutter up to current standards.

For shops with manually operated paper cutters, Microtrack II is the answer. It offers a digital display and programming guide to increase accuracy and productivity, with Manual, Program and Automatic options available to give operators a visual alert when the back gauge is in the proper position.
