FESPA and ESMA Collaborate to Launch Industrial Print in Production Conference
Thursday, November 10, 2016
FESPA and ESMA are working in partnership to launch an all-new conference, aimed at industrial printers, manufacturers and brand owners. The Industrial Print in Production conference (7-9 March 2017, Hamburg, Germany) will explore the innovative use of print and related techniques within the production process.
The programme will address multiple market sectors including telecoms, automotive, aeronautics, architecture, white goods, healthcare, printed electronics and sports equipment. Speakers will be drawn from both the manufacturing and printing communities, with the aim of sharing informative and inspirational examples of how print can be used in production processes.
Roz McGuinness, Divisional Director at FESPA comments: "With the launch of the Industrial Print in Production conference, we aim to fulfil a need identified in both FESPA's and ESMA's communities, and to draw on the strengths and networks of both organisations. Industrial print came out as one of the top growth areas for speciality printers in FESPA's Print Census, while ESMA has also seen considerable demand from its members for an educational event of this nature."
Roz continues: "ESMA has a very strong track record of hosting thought-provoking and relevant events, building on its high level of technical expertise in industrial screen and inkjet printing. From FESPA's side, we represent the interests of a vast global community of print businesses, including many speciality printers with a heritage in industrial screen print, and our mission is to support those businesses to develop a vision and strategic plan for sustainable long-term growth. Together, FESPA and ESMA believe we have a responsibility to drive industrial printing forward and promote the amazing and rapidly evolving capabilities of print in manufacturing design and production."
Peter Buttiens, ESMA CEO adds: "The event will set out to show the important role that industrial print can play in streamlining product design and production, enhancing process efficiency, reducing time to market for brand owners, adding functionality, and creating valuable new opportunities for product differentiation. The programme will bring delegates fully up to speed on the spectrum of new industrial print technologies, processes and applications, helping them to understand the capabilities of the different techniques, and how they can be used to deliver additional functional or decorative value for the end user."
The Industrial Print in Production conference will take place from Tuesday 7th to Thursday 9th March 2017 at the Grand Elysée Hotel in Hamburg, Germany, comprising one full-day and two half-day conference sessions, as well as multiple opportunities for delegates to network, share experiences and build new contacts. The conference programme will be complemented by a 'tabletop' exhibition area, enabling delegates to speak directly to leading technology and consumables manufacturers about how to turn the opportunities described in the conference sessions into reality.
