Creative Edge Software to celebrate new award and latest capabilities of iC3D at ALL4PACK

Press release from the issuing company

iC3D v4.0 photorealism offers finesse for all packaging applications

iC3D, the all-in-one packaging design application from Creative Edge Software is primed for maximum impact at the ALL4PACK trade show in Paris this month (November 14th – 17th). Showcased as innovator, industry influencer and key supplier to leading international brands, iC3D features in four separate exhibits including the winners’ line-up for the prestigious Comité Pack Experts Innovation Awards 2016.

Exhibiting at ALL4PACK under the banners of its two distributors in France, iC3D is to be found on booth 6P147 with SS&C and booth 6P152 with FourPees. Both platforms will be presenting live demonstrations of the latest version 4.0 iC3D software featuring new improved visualization technologies and photorealism for a streamlined packaging design cycle. Introduced at drupa this year, early feedback on iC3D version 4.0 already in use by several CPG brands commends its ease-of-use and fast rendering on even the highest-quality, photorealistic mockups. Demonstrations at ALL4PACK will focus on how new ray tracing, light map editing and dynamic background capabilities enable regular designers to recreate effects that previously required physical mockups in photographic studios and real environments.

“Drawing visitors from all areas of the packaging production chain, ALL4PACK is a prime focus for iC3D,” comments Nick Gilmore, CEO of Creative Edge Software. “Our unique application appeals to all disciplines, brand owners, designers, converters and engineers, in enabling them to collaborate more effectively, whatever their end product may be. Version 4.0 delivers a new level of finesse to this already powerful application, ensuring even more cost-efficiencies at the highest quality across all packaging sectors.”

The new capabilities of iC3D v4.0 are central to its selection as one of nine winners of the Comité Pack Experts Innovation Awards 2016, showcased in Hall 7, booth F160. The only winning software application, iC3D was chosen from more than 250 entries by a panel of high-caliber packaging industry experts including senior executives from brands such as L’Oréal, Nestlé, Coca Cola and Pfizer, as well as leading design agencies and packaging technologists. In congratulating iC3D, the committee acknowledged its innovation through ‘integrating and democratizing all packaging design development functions through one platform’. The televised award ceremony takes place at 12.15pm on Monday 14 November in Hall 7, Booth 7C110.

“We know we have a truly innovative product in iC3D but having it acknowledged by those responsible for producing top-brand packaging designs on a daily basis is a real feather in our cap,” commented Erik de Volder, managing director of SS&C who put forward the application on behalf of Creative Edge Software. “We look forward to having the opportunity to demonstrate the many reasons for this resounding vote of confidence during the Show.”

iC3D also features on booth 7K115 at ALL4PACK as a main sponsor of the Pentawards 2016. Following the recent announcement of the winners, the successful designs form a compelling display of some of the most iconic and innovative packaging ideas today. Included among these is the Four Fox Saké bottle for which Carter Hales Design received a Gold Award in the Luxury category and a full license for iC3D v4.0.
