Press release from the issuing company

Company to show the value of location-based services in a direct marketing campaign

BRAUNSCHWEIG, Germany - locr GmbH is proud to announce that it is a sponsor of the upcoming 2016 XMPie Users Group Conference, taking place November 13–16 at the Grand Hyatt Buckhead in Atlanta, Georgia. This annual conference will feature a variety of sessions on how to use XMPie and other technologies to create and deploy effective multichannel communications. As a sponsor, locr will be part of that effort, demonstrating how location-based services such as geographic segmentation and personalized maps create more successful marketing campaigns.

The XMPie Users Group Conference brings together users from all levels for in-depth sessions that examine the latest developments in the fields of variable data printing (VDP), cross media, web-to-print software and campaign management. These sessions will be led by experienced XMPie users, developers and experts and will enable conference participants to get the most out of their XMPie software.

Thomas Schnettler, head of business development for locr, said, “locr attends many events, but the XMPie Users Group Conference is the one that we find most interesting and productive. It brings an enthusiastic group of users to a well-organized event that includes informative sessions on timely topics. We look forward to bringing our location-based services to this event and to enhancing the multichannel campaigns created by these users.”

At the event, locr will be hosting a presentation called “How to Add Value to Customer Data with Geomarketing. At this presentation, users will learn how to maximize the effectiveness of their multichannel marketing campaigns by using the power of location. The presentation will highlight how to use geodata to refine a mailing list and build a complete geomarketing solution. Attendees will also learn how to improve response rates by including a highly personalized element — a customized map.

Christian Kopocz, CEO of Prindoz, an XMPie user, and an XMPie Users Group board member, said, “2016 has been a year of transformation for the XMPie Users Group Conference. We have opened the event to all XMPie customers, which has expanded the knowledge base to over 8,500 users from around the globe. In Atlanta, this group of users and industry partners will share that knowledge base, ensuring that no matter what role you play — graphic artist, data expert, programmer, web designer, marketer or sales professional — there will be a session that can help you do your job better.”
