Canon USA Honored With Eight "Pick" Awards From Buyers Lab

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y., August 2008 – Building upon its stellar reputation for technology innovation and quality offerings, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of digital imaging technology, has been recognized with eight 2008 "Pick" Awards and an Outstanding Achievement Honor by Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI).

Spanning across a number of product lines, including MFPs, large format printers, scanners and software, each award-winning product was recognized as "Outstanding" in its respective product category by BLI. Honors were awarded to the Canon Color imageRUNNER C5185i and monochrome imageRUNNER 5050 MFP devices, the LASER CLASS 830i fax-centric MFP, the large format imagePROGRAF iPF6100 graphic arts printer, the imageFORMULA DR-X10C production scanner, the DR-2510C workgroup scanner, the ScanFront 220P network scanner and the imageCLASS MF4270, while the Canon Workflow Composer integrated software solution for Canon MFPs received an Outstanding Achievement Honor.

BLI, a leading independent office equipment test lab, announces its "Pick" Awards semi-annually to recognize breakthrough products in the digital imaging industry that have exhibited an outstanding performance during rigorous testing. Testing requirements cover reliability, image quality, ease of use, productivity, multitasking abilities, print drivers, administrative utilities and a host of network connectivity requirements. Testing takes approximately two months and includes extensive durability reviews by running each product at the manufacturer's maximum recommended monthly volume.
