ILFORD Imaging Europe, Bergisch Gladbach - ILFORD, one of the oldest photo brands in the market, had two award ceremonies at Photokina:

Firstly, ILFORD received the prestigious TIPA (Technical Imaging Press Association) award for GALERIE Prestige Gold Fibre Gloss in the category: »Best Inkjet Photo Paper«.

Secondly, ILFORD handed the world´s first Fine Art Album to the renowned photographer Herbert Piel – last honored for his outstanding social engagement regarding: »Germany´s Refugee World – Photos from reception facilities for asylum seekers«.

Herbert´s photos for the Fine Art Album originate from his last journey on behalf of the Chinese government and the Bell Art Center on the legendary Silk Route.

The Fine Art Album was printed on ILFORD´s Gold Fibre Silk Gloss – the same paper awarded with the TIPA Award for best photo paper 2016 and that received the LNE certification for light fastness. Herbert Piel called the ILFORD Fine Art Album: “A book I dreamt of“.
