PPC Welcomes Member Relations Director

Press release from the issuing company

SPRINGFIELD, MA - The Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC) recently announced that Jim Sotiropoulos has joined the association’s staff as Director of Member Relations.

Sotiropoulos brings 15 years of nonprofit management and natural resource conservation experience to the PPC team. Throughout his career, Jim has successfully managed projects, guided development, and trained staff members in a variety of industries such as river recreation, automotive insurance, and forestry. Prior to coming on board with PPC, Sotiropoulos served as Executive Director for a 501(c)3 non-profit, overseeing the organization’s operations, development, and community outreach initiatives. Sotiropoulos holds an MS in Natural Resources and Conservation from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, as well as a BS in Environmental Biology from Westfield State University.

As Member Relations Director with PPC, Sotiropoulos will work with the membership and marketing teams to spearhead outreach, specifically by deepening relationships with current members as well as educating and attracting new members to the association.  Sotiropoulos will also manage a variety of projects in conjunction with PPC’s committees, events, and annual meetings.

“PPC is an excellent fit for me, as I am just as dedicated to sustainable forestry and environmental preservation as the association is,” said Sotiropoulos. “I’m looking forward to helping PPC engage and grow its membership.”

“I welcome Jim to the PPC team,” said Ben Markens, PPC President. “We strive to serve our members in all we do, and Jim will be invaluable as we move forward in providing them value.”

Jim may be reached at [email protected] or 413-686-9185. For more info about PPC, visit paperbox.org
