Press release from the issuing company

SPRINGFIELD, Mass.-F.C. Meyer Packaging, LLC (fcmeyerpackaging.com) recently joined the Paperboard Packaging Council (PPC), the North American association for independent and integrated folding carton converters and their suppliers.

Founded in 1907 and headquartered in Norwalk, CT, F.C. Meyer Packaging produces value-added folding cartons for a wide variety of end-use markets, including high-end retail, bakery, food service and prepared foods, hardware, office products, soft goods, replenishment footwear, bulk food, and club stores. Harnessing web flexo, web offset, sheet-fed offset, and various finishing technologies, F.C. Meyer can provide turnkey product services from structural to complete creative design makeovers.

A dedicated environmental steward, F.C. Meyer Packaging has received numerous State of Massachusetts Governor's Awards for recycled product content. They also operate their own waste processing facility in Garwood, NJ, transferring and processing the municipality's fibrous waste into usable fiber. On the product side, the firm's Meyerkote line of barrier packaging is 100% recyclable and also degrades in properly managed landfills and home compost systems.

"I extend a warm welcome to F.C. Meyer Packaging," said Ben Markens, PPC president. "With their century-long experience in converting and their demonstrated sustainability achievements, they will bring much knowledge and expertise to PPC. I am also sure they will gain much value from the association's programing as well as their esteemed peers in the organization."

PPC members receive access to the only folding carton exclusive data reporting program in the industry, webinars, white papers, and legislative updates. They get opportunities to attend informative biannual conferences, discounted registration to key training sessions like Folding Carton Boot Camp, and can also participate in publicity-generating programs such as TICCIT and the North American Paperboard Packaging Competition. PPC also facilities several communities of interest, including the Rigid Box Committee, the Canadian Converters Committee, the Women's Leadership Committee, and the New Generation Leaders group.
