Gruppo Cordenons has announced strong financial results for the first half of 2016. These results show continuing improvements since 2014 and outstrip the record performance achieved in 2015. Margins improved and a positive revenue trend emerged during the second quarter of the year.

The key financial results for the half year, January – June 2016 (compared to the 2015 financial year results) are:

• Turnover: 3% increase compared to the same period in 2015.
• EBITDA: 12% increase compared to same period in 2015.

In the second quarter of 2016 the results were even more impressive.

• Turnover: 5% increase compared to the same period in 2015.
• EBITDA: 14% increase compared to the second quarter of 2015.

The company credits its continuing impressive performance to a number of factors including: dynamic capacity management; investment in its brands; optimization and innovation in step with market demand and a subtly differentiated product offering. These factors confirm the outlook for the whole of 2016 whilst defining collaborative relationships with suppliers; achieving optimum professional standards and employing the best possible standards relative to ethics, health and safety and environmental awareness.

These initiatives were instrumental in Gruppo Cordenons achieving OHSAS 18001 certification. OHSAS 18001 is part of an Occupation Health and Safety Assessment Series for health and safety management systems. It is intended to help an organisation to control occupational health and safety risks. It was developed in response to widespread demand for a recognised standard against which to be certified and assessed. OHSAS 18001 helps to create a working environment which safeguards the health and safety of company personnel; communicates and establishes a culture of safety; develops awareness of risks and promotes responsible behaviour. 

The company’s extensive range of products includes metallised and iridescent papers; textured papers with blended fibres; felt-marked papers; papers with a special touch and feel and coated/uncoated papers.
