Young Shin Sa lives up to its name
“Books are our future.”
That's the motto of Mr. Hong Sa-Hee, president of Young Shin Sa, a renowned book printer in Korea. Reading books is important, Mr Hong says, because it improves a person's knowledge and helps him make a better future for himself.
Young Shin Sa started out as book bindery in 1983 before going into the business of printing books in 2002. To make this bold move work, the company invested in three Manroland Sheetfed machines in one go: a two-color ROLAND 700 press, a four-color ROLAND 700, and a five-color ROLAND 700.
After years of steady development, Young Shin Sa now provides customers with one-stop solution, from production to delivery. Based in Paju Book City, it currently has an annual turnover of €11.5 million and employs 120 people. In addition, it can produce up to 60,000 copies of high-quality books per day.
Facing such a big production volume, “we need a high-speed printing process and extremely efficient production for high-quality products,” says Mr. Hong.
He believes it's time for the company to invest in new equipment to make sure they don't miss their deadlines, as more and more job orders are coming in.
As the printer’s name, Young Shin Sa, implies in Korean, it is "a forever reliable company." Aided by Manroland Sheetfed’s advanced printing solutions and professional service, Young Shin Ha has been able to live up to its name through the years.
Now it has been suggested that the company should have machines with different characteristics to further increase its productivity. Heeding this advice, Young Shin Sa recently purchased one more ROLAND 700, this time a five-color ROLAND 700 press with Simultaneous plate loading system for high-speed printing tailor-made for high-end jobs.
As part of Manroland Sheetfed's commitment to Young Shin Sa, its service team will always be on call in case of emergency. This will ensure that the company will be able to finish print jobs on time and satisfy more customers.
Young Shin Sa is not only a reliable service provider to customers; it is also a caring company to its employees. A clean and environment-friendly printing plant, made possible by using printing machines with eco-friendly washers, helps protect its employees' health.
Making the employees happy is part of the company's thrust, Mr. Hong says. “When we have a high satisfaction in our work, our vision and value would get higher for the future. Each employee’s happiness would bring customer satisfaction,” he adds.
At its facility, Young Shin Sa also provides its employees with a roof garden, relaxation area, restaurant, luxurious bathroom and a free shuttle bus.
