GoodToGo Systems Acquires Software from Happy Macs

Press release from the issuing company

CARLSBAD, California - May 23, 2002 -- GoodToGo Systems, Inc. has acquired all online preflighting software and GoodToGo customers from HappyMacs, the original developers of GoodToGo Online Preflighting software. HappyMacs will continue to serve its existing customers as a consulting firm specializing in Graphic Art production workflows. GoodToGo Online Preflighting software allows printers, publishers and prepress houses to accept print-ready jobs from their design customers. GoodToGo is based on patented preflight technology licensed exclusively from Markzware, Inc., makers of FlightCheck. The GoodToGo client application runs on either Macintosh or Windows platforms and could be used free for 30 days. Erik Ohlin, Owner of HappyMacs and CEO of GoodToGo Systems, Inc. states: "We are very pleased with the transition of the GoodToGo software from HappyMacs to GoodToGo Systems, Inc. HappyMacs has always been a small consulting firm, dedicated to helping their customers with graphic arts production. Our initial involvement with building preflight applications was spurred by real needs and complaints from our customers that getting print-ready files over the Internet was difficult and complicated. Since the release of the first versions of the GoodToGo subscription service and the GoodToGo Enterprise Server, demand for these solutions has been exceptional. We felt the most prudent course of action was to incorporate and build a company whose sole focus was software development and workflow automation. GoodToGo Systems, Inc. allows us to satisfy the needs of our new national and international customer base. Patrick Marchese, president of Markzware, Inc. had this to say about GoodToGO Systems, Inc., "I would recommend GoodToGo to any printer, publisher or prepress house who needs to accept print-ready files right away. Setting up a GoodToGo subscription account is something that can usually be done in less than a day. Plus, if a larger printer needs to start small and then grow, they can upgrade to the GoodToGo Enterprise Server which can handle their needs with unlimited transactions, custom branding for every customer and back-end database integration." Dan Dour, president of DB Incorporated, a print services provider based in the heart of Silicon Valley had these insights about preflighting: "Eighty percent of all customer print files submitted are not ready to print. I think the design to print workflow has to be the most inefficient process of all manufacturing sector workflow. No one will take the time to communicate prior to placing the order. We use a custom-branded version of GoodToGo, called Ready2Rip to perform preflight, job collection and transmission of a majority of our customers jobs. It saves us time, as well as our customers, lets us communicate issues effectively, but most of all it saves everyone money. This software makes us look like heroes."
