XMPie to Showcase Web2Print and Multichannel for Labels and Packaging at HP Indigo Pre-drupa Events

Press release from the issuing company

XMPie will Demonstrate Solutions That Enable Labels and Packages to Stand Out, Engage, and Trigger Powerful Brand-Consumer Digital Interaction

New York, NY – XMPie®, a leading provider of Web-to-print and personalization software, will be demonstrating new capabilities, for the Labels and Packaging industry, to harness the power of digital print and boost a brand’s ability to stand out and engage the consumer. This will take place at the fifth Dscoop EMEA Conference in Tel Aviv, and at the HP booth in Hall 17 at drupa, May 31-10. Visitors will be able to see how XMPie’s digital media personalization and Web-to-print technologies combined with HP Indigo’s digital presses and production workflow can help drive high value services and quality results.

With XMPie technology, the Label or the Package template, which can be selected and then customized and ordered through the Web-to-print portal, can be highly engaging due to superior creative and refined individualized relevancy. Moreover, with the XMPie technology, using a printed piece as the trigger for a follow-on digital dialogue between the brand and the consumer — landing sites, emails, videos, etc. — is uniquely possible. This multichannel dimension to Labels and Packaging can become an integral part of the marketing mix of the brand, which adds a very unique and new high value to this traditionally print-only field.

XMPie solutions are fully integrated with HP PrintOS and HP Indigo presses, enabling providers to efficiently process a high number of targeted packages.

Personalized digital packaging fits perfectly within the multichannel communications mix. The package has become an effective media and a great opportunity for brands to communicate directly with their consumers, especially when combined with other media, said Gershon Alon, WW Manager, Workflow Solutions and Partner Program, HP Indigo.“ The integration with XMPie offers unique value to HP Indigo customers that can help them take advantage of this emerging trend.”

Print providers — Commercial Printers or Converters — who are able to offer their customers such services will enjoy an increase in job volume as well as strengthen and expand their relationship with the brands.  It is not only easy to provide customizable Labels or Packages, reflecting a local store, an agent, a region, a flavor, or — even — an individual, but now it is possible to track responses, to continue a dialogue, and, overall, enable a Brand-to-Consumer relationship in the digital age.

“As Labels and Packaging are fast moving to Digital, the suite of solutions from XMPie becomes very relevant for this growing segment of the Print industry,” said Dan Doron, VP, LATAM Sales & Channel Partnerships, XMPie. “The service-providers and their customers — the brands — are starting to see the Package or the Label not simply as an end goal by itself, but as an engaging trigger for the Brand-to-Consumer relationship. We are pleased with our work with the HP Indigo team, which enabled bringing our capabilities to their customers in a fully integrated and streamlined fashion.”

At the Dscoop EMEA Conference in Tel Aviv, and at the HP booth at drupa, XMPie will demonstrate how end-to-end multichannel campaigns can turn Labels or Packages (and indeed Print pieces in general) into powerful marketing tools; increasing brand exposure, sales and long-term consumer engagement.
