Now accepting student applications for fall 2016 academic year

Fairfax, Virginia - The  SGIA Scholarship Program is accepting applications from students who plan to attend a post-secondary education program in the fall of 2016.

“Supporting the next generation of imagers — and future employees, business owners and creators — is of utmost importance to SGIA,” said Johnny Shell, SGIA’s Vice President of Technical Services. “We’re honored to be able to help them further their education in this industry.”

The program will award $2,000 each to five student recipients. Scholarship winners will be carefully selected by the SGIA Education Committee based on academic achievement, work experience, extracurriculars, financial need and a one-page essay, as well as academic and professional recommendations.

Secondary seniors and post-secondary, full-time students are qualified for entry. They must be a student of an active SGIA Educator Member and committed to pursuing a career within the growing imaging community.
