Hycorr Announces Investment in Facilities and Technology

Press release from the issuing company

HYCORR LLC, a leading domestic manufacturer of rotary die cutting machinery headquartered in Kalamazoo, Michigan, has entered into a 10-year lease agreement for industrial space at the prestigious Midlink Business Park in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This state-of-the-art facility will provide enhancements to HYCORR’s manufacturing capabilities that directly impact quality, efficiency, and the overall customer experience.

According to President Robert Shafer, the decision to remain in Kalamazoo was easy. “Kalamazoo has been HYCORR’s home for more than 30 years. During this time we have established a uniquely qualified and dedicated staff that is the very core of our company. We are proud to make this investment in American manufacturing during a time when others cut quality and service through offshore solutions.” Shafer continues, “It is impossible to deliver best-in-class service if your engineering, manufacturing, and customer service functions are worlds apart. Today’s corrugated converters serve a demanding client base with shorter runs and even shorter turnaround times--they cannot wait even a day to sort out problems, they need your support now. This can only be achieved when you are close to the manufacturer.”

Significant infrastructure investments are being made in conjunction with this move that will improve HYCORR’s machine development and quality initiatives as well as its already best-in-class after sales support. Operating 24/7/365, HYCORR is the only machine manufacturer that provides after hours phone technical support and round-the-clock parts shipping at no charge to its customers regardless of the age of the equipment. “Many of the first machines ever produced by HYCORR 30 years ago are still in operation, and we are there for those customers anytime they need us,” according to Shafer.

HYCORR machines are known for robust quality, enduring serviceability, and unique features, including the single pass top and bottom print capability. Dollar for dollar, no other machine manufacturer delivers the value proposition achieved with a HYCORR machine.

HYCORR LLC is a subsidiary of KOLBUS America, Inc. headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, whose roots can be traced back to the late 1700s. More than 200 years later, KOLBUS continues its strong heritage of providing innovative and customer-centric solutions for clients engaged in commercial, book, and magazine manufacturing along with premium packaging production and corrugated converting.
