DALIM SOFTWARE to exhibit at FIPP World Congress and Folio:Show

Press release from the issuing company

Company to focus on ES enterprise project and workflow management for magazine production

DALIM SOFTWARE announces that it will take part in two events during October— in collaboration with Magazines Canada, a host of the 2015 FIPP World Congress, and the Folio:Show—helping publishers to produce high-quality magazines more efficiently.

Through its sponsorship with Magazines Canada, DALIM SOFTWARE, an active member of the FIPP, is participating at the 2015 FIPP World Congress, being held from October 13-15 at the Sheraton Center in Toronto, Canada. The 2015 FIPP World Congress, which in the past has been held globally from New Delhi to Rome to London, is the largest magazine media event in the world. Participants hear from the industry’s top speakers and network with 800 members of consumer and B2B media from around the globe.

Magazines Canada is putting Canadian suppliers at center stage during the FIPP World Congress with a vendor marketplace they call Beaver Lodge. Located at the main entrance to the Congress, it will be a hub of activity with exhibitor displays, a coffee lounge, device charging stations, and much more. MagNet:, Canada's Magazine Conference, is on hiatus for 2015 and will return in June 2016.

At the Marriott Marquis in New York City, October 19-21, 2015, DALIM SOFTWARE will participate in booth 204 as an exhibitor at Folio:Show. The Folio:Show provides the essential tools publishers need to navigate change in the magazine business and across the broader media landscape. It offers publishers actionable strategies and tactics in boosting sales, creating compelling content, deploying smart marketing, and using technologies to enhance all three. Conference topics this year include 'Peer-to-Peer: Where Traditional Production and Ad Ops Converge', 'Magazine Media and the Future of Print' and 'Making Multiplatform Content Workflows Work for Content Teams'

DALIM SOFTWARE has a long history with publishers and publication print service providers. Companies such as American Media, Hearst Magazines, Meredith, Publishers Press, Continental Web, Creel Printing Bonnier, Science Magazine, Burda Druck GmbH, HAIDEMENOS, Vogel Druck und Medienservice, Druckstudio Group and Prinovis Ltd. rely on DALIM SOFTWARE solutions to assure that their magazines are always produced on time and in the most efficient way.

Publishing today is still about organized quality content on any kind of media. What has changed is how content will make it onto paper, personal computer, flat screen TV, E-Reader or smartphone will make the difference between profit and loss. Putting a magazine together is also about marrying advertising and editorial content and while content management becomes central to your multichannel strategy, channel specific contingencies hamper your movements. While IT services can and will master the web and maybe also the “E” supply chain, it often alienates the classic print production with its specific processes. For example, XML text extraction and hyperlinks are crucial for Ee-Readers experience, while color accurate approvals and print specific color transformations are necessary to go to press.

DALIM SOFTWARE will be focusing on DALIM ES—and its project and workflow management capabilities—and its integration with TWIST and DIALOGUE Engine

Managing a magazine consists of much more than just a single task. It’s about producing, managing, transforming and sharing digital content with the appropriate tools, the right people, at the right time— any time and anywhere. ES is a collaborative digital asset production and management platform, offering services ranging from online approval to web-based production management for all participants of the production cycle, including brand owners, agencies, publishers, pre-media, printers and multichannel service providers. ES lets users plan, execute and control any aspect of media production, regardless of the final use of the output (print, web, ebook, movie, and others). It ensures productivity and long term profitability.

As part of a DALIM ES workflow, specifically designed to be implemented into already existing publishing workflows, DIALOGUE Engine adds color accurate soft proofing and communication for high-resolution files and enables document sharing without actual file transfer. With its Fogra and SWOP certification and the same Adobe® PDF Print Engine rendering technology as most output devices, DIALOGUE Engine can eliminate the need for costly hardcopy proofs.

As a centralized workflow engine, TWIST automates repetitive tasks such as preflight, color management, file optimization and file delivery of print ready files, as well as web and mobile renditions, individually to the specs of each title. Its unique flexibility and scalability and the way TWIST can act as the bridge between print and “E” production, make the difference between traditional workflow systems and a fully automated production environment, powered by TWIST. Many publishers also have the need to publish existing PDF files on mobile devices. Due to its specific flattening technology and quality settings, original PDF files prepared for print use, can be easily transformed for use on the web and mobile devices. With the CT-Vector option within TWIST, the combination of flattening of all the graphic elements and a unique text extraction technology ensures that PDF files are automatically optimized to offer much higher quality and readability on the web and any mobile device.

"DALIM SOFTWARE is looking forward to showing publishers and print service providers how our solutions have helped a wide variety of publications—both in print and web/mobile applications," comments Graham Blanks, DALIM SOFTWARE, Director Business Operations, North America. "With with our integrated asset management capabilities in ES, we now offer publishers and print service providers a powerful way to manage not only the publication that is being published today, but repurposing those assets in the future."
