Atlanta, Georgia, USA – MacDermid Printing Solutions announced today that it will feature the only commercially available in-the-plate solution, LUX ITP, as well as its LAVA thermal plate processing system at LabelExpo in Brussels, Belgium from September 29 through October 2.

With that in mind, MacDermid's LAVA platemaking equipment is specifically suited for the tag and label industry. This type of thermal processing is an ideal solution for the narrow web market because the footprint for the equipment is much smaller and faster. MacDermid's LAVA platemaking equipment is available in small, mid, and large format sizes.

MacDermid provides multiple photopolymer plates suited for the tag and label industry. LUX ITP is MacDermid's newest plate that can be used along with LAVA platemaking equipment. It is the only commercially available in-the-plate flat-top dot solution.

Additionally, MacDermid will be featuring a plate that has been specifically designed for use with UV inks. MacDermid's UVR photopolymer plate was designed to swell less than other flexographic plates in aggressive UV inks. UVR also offers excellent print resolution and low dot gain.
