Press release from the issuing company

RMGT press conference highlights growth in new press sales in North America

CHICAGO, IL - Graphic Systems North America (GSNA), the Authorized Distributor for RMGT (RYOBI MHI Graphic Technology Ltd.) offset presses in North America, today announced the highlights of their press conference held at Graph Expo 15 in Chicago. The thrust of the press conference covered three points:

    1. The re-branding of RMGT (RYOBI MHI Graphic Technology Ltd.)
    2. A review of North American press sales during the last 12 months.
    3. Defining the RMGT sales and service strategy for North America.

The New Brand, RMGT
Kozac Takata, Manager of International Sales and Marketing, explained how RMGT was built on integrating the strengths of Ryobi Limited and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Printing and Packaging Machinery, Ltd. These two companies were respective divisions of Ryobi Limited (US$ 1.9 billion company) and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (US$ 28 billion company) that have manufactured printing presses for over 50 years in Japan. After 20 months, the two companies are fully integrated and will now be known as RMGT.

To ensure that customers worldwide will fully recognize RMGT as a singular corporate entity, Takata introduced new branding that was also unveiled at IGAS 2015 (International Graphic Arts Show) in Tokyo, Japan (Sept 11-16, 2015). The new logo expresses the joining of two separate companies to form RMGT, and how they will grow together as a single entity.

Growth in North American Market
"The explosive growth in sales of new RMGT offset presses in North America is validation of our vision to become a major player in the North American print market", stated Takata. "In the last 12 months, RMGT has sold more than 30 new presses, which also comprises more than 150 printing units. We are pleased to see RMGT technology changing the business of customers in the commercial print, packaging, and in-plant markets."

The growth in North America together with other international markets has driven expansion of the main factory facilities in Hiroshima, Japan. A simplified product naming convention was also introduced, as expanded factory facilities in Japan will produce the following lines of presses: 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, 9 Series, 10 Series, and 11 Series.

Sales and Service in North America
Takata concluded by introducing the three authorized distributors of RMGT presses in North America, Graphic Systems North America (GSNA), RM Machinery, and Suntek.

Graphic Systems North America (GSNA) is a group of six regional distributors located throughout the United States and Canada (Northeast US – G.E. Richards; Southeast US – Paper Handling Solutions; Midwest – Graphco; West – Print & Finishing Solutions; Eastern Canada – KBR Graphics; Western Canada – Canadian Printing Equipment). GSNA services and delivers exclusive access to the 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, and 9 Series presses. These presses address a variety of printing needs, including the lucrative short-run packaging market, and can produce an industry standard, 16-page signature format.

RM Machinery, based in Carneys Point, NJ, is the authorized distributor for the RMGT 10 Series and 11 Series presses. Covering the entire United States, RM Machinery provides sales and service for these series of presses.

Suntek S.A de C.V., based in Mexico City, Mexico, is the authorized distributor of the entire line of RMGT presses in Mexico. Suntek is part of the Sun Digital Group, a leading provider of complete solutions for the Graphic Arts sector with more than 40 years in the industry.
