Kodak to Showcase New Products, Customers and Partnerships at GRAPH EXPO 15

Sustainable offset and digital print innovations to stand out among industry best 

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Kodak will feature its wide-range of sustainable offset and digital print solutions during next week’s GRAPH EXPO 15 in Chicago. As one of the year’s most anticipated global conferences for the graphics, imaging, publishing and commercial printing industries, GRAPH EXPO 15 (Sept. 13—16) will feature nearly 600 exhibitors along with thousands of live demonstrations and numerous educational sessions from industry experts and leading technology providers on the latest in offset and digital print. 

Kodak (booth #823) will showcase its award-winning, innovative, print solutions as well as introduce exciting new products for commercial print, publishing and packaging applications, specifically: 

  • *NEW KODAK ELECTRA MAX Thermal Plate – ELECTRA MAX Thermal Plates provide maximum capabilities for printers, such as high resolution, long unbaked run lengths and strong chemical resistance.
  • *NEW KODAK TRENDSETTER Q2400/Q3600 Platesetter – the TRENDSETTER Q2400/Q3600 Platesetter features the award winning Kodak SQUARESPOT Imaging Technology and delivers dependable accuracy regardless of plate emulsion sensitivity, processor variation and laser power. 
  • *NEW KODAK NEXPRESS TPF – 550 Feeder – introducing a new accessory – the TPF – 550 Long Sheet Deep Pile Feeder by BDT for the KODAK NEXPRESS Digital Production Color Press – to help extend media range, improve productivity and enhance ease for long sheet printing of up to one meter.  
  • KODAK SONORA Process Free Plates – SONORA Process Free Plates continue to deliver the productivity and print capabilities of mainstream plates with the benefits of process-free, reducing energy, water and chemical consumption and related costs.
  • KODAK PRINERGY Workflow 7 and KODAK INSITE Prepress Portal 7 – PRINERGY Workflow 7 protects critical profit margins by limiting human error, improving time to press and enabling faster and more informed decision making.  INSITE Prepress Portal version 7 is 100 percent  JAVA Free and offers new HTML5 system diagnostics and a redesigned HTML5-based Smart Review user interface.
  • KODAK PROSPER Presses & Imprinting Systems ‘Printing on Air’ – the Printing On Air Demo showcases KODAK Stream Inkjet Technology by using a light strobe to display the content as the drops travel through air – rather than being delivered to a paper or other substrate – with the images appearing similar to that of a flip book or video.

In addition to new product launches and legacy solution demonstrations, Kodak will demo an integration partnership at booth #1931 between the KODAK CREO IC-309 Server and the Konica Minolta bizhub C71hc press. Similarly, Kodak and Kruger, Inc. have partnered to bring the first true lightweight coated paper optimized for inkjet production to market. Samples and print demonstrations of the ‘Four Diamond’ rated stock will be showcased during GRAPH EXPO at the Kodak booth #823. 

Kodak will demonstrate the new connectivity between PRINERGY Workflow 7 and RICOH’s newly launched TotalFlow Print Server, which together will drive the RICOH PRO C Series of printers. Visit the RICOH booth #1231 to see this connectivity demonstration in action.  

As part of GRAPH EXPO, Kodak will also receive two InterTech™ Stars before an audience of industry leaders during the 2015 Printing Industries of America (PIA) Premier Print Awards Gala held on Sunday, Sept. 13. Kodak – the only company to take home multiple awards at this year’s competition – will be honored for its KODAK PROSPER 6000 Presses and the newly-launched NX advantage for the KODAK FLEXCEL NX System, marking Kodak’s 39th and 40th overall InterTech™ Technology Awards to date, including the third overall award for the FLEXCEL NX System in seven years.
