Press release from the issuing company

Rosh Haayin – AcheQ, leading Super-wide format printing house in Santiago, Chile is the first South American installation site of the Matan Quantum 3m super-wide format LED UV printer.

The decision to purchase the Matan Quantum was made by Mr. Yerko, owner and CEO of AcheQ, following a thorough study and deliberation of all the existing options in the market. “We currently have 2 Durst printers, one of which needed replacing plus Jeti that needs to be replaced plus an old HP Scitex XLJet at our site, which is about to retile. We were planning to add a high-production HD quality printer that would do the work of those printers and also of two of our older 1.6m plotters. We checked all the possible models in the market and have come to the conclusion that the Quantum not only produces fantastic print quality at a very good production speed, it also has accessories that no other manufacturer can offer.”

The Matan Quantum, features 7pL drops and 1200 dpi resolution, producing sensational HD print quality for close-view applications. The printer purchased by AcheQ is equipped with LED UV curing lamps and use a newly formulated LED curable ink. “We were pleasantly surprised to find out that such a large printer is capable of such high print quality. Added Yerko, “Up until now we only used our small 1.6m plotters for applications that would be viewed from close by, such that required fine transitions, skin tones and shadows. The Quantum really can produce all these and also precise and sharp text as small as 4 point size!”

The Quantum installed at AcheQ includes Matan’s unique Inline Finishing system with slitters which trim the margins off while printing and a roll-to-sheet cutter that cuts the printout off from the roll simultaneously with the printing. “This is such a brilliant feature” added Yerko. “The output comes out of the printer already cut to size, and there is no need to take it to a separate cutter. It saves us a lot of time and is overall very efficient.”

We are very pleased to have this strategic account in South America” said Hanan Yosefi, CEO & President of Matan Digital Printers. “We are proud that AcheQ chose the Quantum after reviewing all the existing alternatives. This proves once again that Matan continues to innovate the Grand Format industry with the most competitive solutions for the benefit of sophisticated customers”.

Matan will present the Quantum at the upcoming Fespa 2015 in Cologne Germany, at Hall 9 Booth X12.
