Live Demonstrations of Leary’s In-line Print and Braille Inspection and High Quality Gluing Solutions at IADD FSEA Odyssey 2015

CHICAGO, IL – Between May 13-15 at Odyssey 2015 (Schaumburg, IL), W. H. Leary will be running live demonstrations of their latest technologies – including LearyVIEW™ Print for full surface print inspection and LearyVIEW™ Braille inspection as well as their new Quantum™ high speed, precision cold glue valves - on the American International Machinery Signature Elite folder-gluer in the Techshop. 

LearyVIEW™ Print provides a complete, in-line solution where flawless print and registration are required.  When used together with the WSI TaskMaster™ feeder (www.wslope.com), this portable station enables seamless retrofitting to existing folder gluers.  The station can be relocated to be used on multiple production lines, inspecting various jobs for print quality, color quality, and missing copy on all substrates including foil.  This unique technology can be used as a regulatory compliance tool and as a way to gain new customers who require spot or blanket checks on the entire printed surface of a carton.  With a technology similar to optical character recognition and Delta E color inspection, this is a complete print inspection solution for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and beverage industries and where ever high quality print is required.

The new LearyVIEW™ Braille inspection system combines the most powerful and innovative technologies to achieve in-line Braille detection at full production speeds. With the touch of a button the Braille is learned, decoded and displayed on the screen to be verified by the operator. Once the master is accepted, subsequent cartons are scanned to guarantee a perfect match.  The LearyVIEW™ system delivers impeccable quality assurance, checking every Braille dot to guarantee correct positioning relative to other dots and to the carton panel.  

Quantum™ Platinum high speed, cold glue valves eliminate problems caused by glue tailing. Leary’s new two-piece nozzle design goes a long way in reducing clean-up time and simplifying job changeovers.  When used with their patented On-Target™ closed-loop, automatic glue correction technology, this combination ensures glue placement is ‘in tolerance’ and perfectly positioned every time and makes for the most accurate gluing solution on the market.

Visitors to the Techshop will see Leary’s unique Monet™ operating system - the standard interface for all Leary Array™ systems - which offers an immediate cost savings and is a proven method to quickly reduce setup and training times through its ease of use.  Monet™ software automatically configures valve, trigger, glue and detection locations based on the selected carton style and dimensions.  Simply stated, Monet™ makes Leary’s gluing and detection systems the easiest to use and most easily understood systems on the market.
