Emile Tabassi of MGI USA is Remembered

MELBOURNE, FL – With a heavy heart, MGI Digital Graphic Technology would like to inform the industry friends and colleagues of Emile Tabassi, North American Director of Sales & Communications of MGI USA, of his passing following a battle with cancer. Mr. Tabassi, who was 64, passed away at a cancer research facility, surrounded by family on February 7th, 2015.
 
Mr. Tabassi graduated from the University of Maryland in 1978 with a bachelor’s degree in Production Management, and later went on to graduate the Executive Sales Management Program at Columbia University and the Executive Marketing Management Program at the University of Chicago.
 
Mr. Tabassi began his prestigious career at AGFA Corporation where he spent over 21 years as a Sales and Marketing Manager. During his tenure with AGFA Mr. Tabassi received multiple awards for outstanding achievement and customer satisfaction. From there Mr. Tabassi used his expertise in sales and marketing at HP before becoming the Vice President of U.S. Sales at Presstek Inc.
 
In 2011, Mr. Tabassi joined the MGI USA team as the North American Director of Sales & Communications where he quickly gained the respect of his colleagues for his extensive industry knowledge paired with his ability to lead, motivate others, and focus. Mr. Tabassi became an instant asset to MGI USA and was a key contributor to the successful launch into the 3D Spot UV market.
 
“Emile was one of the most accomplished and motivated senior managers I have had the pleasure of working with. He brought so much passion and commitment to the MGI USA team,” stated Michael Abergel, Executive Vice President of MGI USA. “His strength, class, and positive attitude will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. He was a real fighter and an inspiration to everyone he met.  His joy and laughter will be missed by his family, friends and co-workers. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his family and loved ones.”
