Press release from the issuing company

Charlotte, North CarolinaGlobal anilox roll supplier Harper Corporation of America celebrates huge success at the recent Labelexpo Americas 2014, held September 9-11 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Illinois. This three-day event featured demonstrations, exhibitions, and networking opportunities which showcased some of the latest technology and developments in the label and package printing industry.

Harper’s XDI graphic and printed electronics technology show rolls continue to be an eye-catching attraction and garner a lot of attention. This leading-edge laser technology shows Harper’s continued commitment as leaders in all phases of anilox technology, including Flexography and Gravure. Harper representatives were on hand to showcase these products as well as the most popular HIVE (High Image Volume Engravings) product line and provide additional information and insight regarding this technology.

Harper demonstrated its patented award-winning QD™ ink proofing system and showcased the QD™ Flexo Printing Head, its newest addition to the QD™ Multi-Process Flatbed Printing System. The Flexo Printing Head prints a 6.66-inch repeat using Harper’s proofer anilox rolls. In addition, it uses a traditional imaged flexo plate coupled with mounting tape on a plate cylinder. The printing head can also be used with Harper’s fiber laser engraved in-the-round (ITR) EDPM transfer roll.

Also highlighted at the show was Harper’s newest HEX division, which is a partnership between Harper Corporation of America and MECA & Technology Machine, Inc. Through this division, Harper offers MECA products such as plate sleeves, bridges, mandrels, and mechanically engraved anilox rolls. These products have been designed to decrease downtime and minimize make ready. Additional HEX products include VSOP plate and blanket sleeves, rubber covered rolls, and lockdown bridge sleeve refurbishments.

Labelexpo Americas 2014 attracted professionals from throughout the world eager to explore the advanced technology emerging in the label and package printing industry. Several visitors from around the world stopped by the Harper booth to view demonstrations of its latest technology, ask questions, and get more information about how their businesses could benefit. Harper Corporation of America is proud to have been part of such a successful event and looks forward to future opportunities to share it products and insight.
