Press release from the issuing company
MELBOURNE, FL, USA – MGI Digital Graphic Technology is thrilled to announce that TRIO 3D is the first in Thailand to have a JETvarnish 3D.
After a considerable amount of research and the help of Ferrostaal Thailand, TRIO 3D made the decision to invest in the JETvarnish 3D. This revolutionary piece of equipment, capable of spot UV as well as stunning raised 3D effects, excited Samak Chiratananan, owner of TRIO 3D.
“As soon as I saw what the MGI JETvarnish 3D could do, I was sold,” states Chiratananan. The JETvarnish 3D is able to handle digital and offset prints in sizes up to 20" x 42" with its dual ARC (Automatic Registration Cameras) that register every image to the pixel. And whether it’s set for traditional flat spot UV coating or the amazingly detailed raised 3D effects of up to 100 microns in spot coating thickness, the JETvarnish 3D never fails to deliver.”
“For the first time we can offer our customers something completely different in 2D and 3D effects within the same artwork in a single pass. The visual effects of the unique finish made possible by this truly revolutionary piece of equipment are really exciting,” continues Chiratananan, the veteran Thai printer who added that reports of his new acquisition’s capabilities are already creating a buzz in the local printing industry.
The JETvarnish 3D can in fact work its magic at a rate of up to 5,200 A3 pages or 3,000 B2 pages per hour (2D effects) with an input/output capacity of about 4,000 sheets. Now the JETvarnish 3D comes with new, flexible upgrade options- the “T2” option, a 2nd row of print heads, to improve spot coating quality and productivity, and the new iFoil option, for inline hot foil done 100% digitally for flat or embossed-like effects with variable data capabilities. Both options are field upgradeable at any time.
To see the complete line of MGI products, including the JETvarnish 3D, iFOIL and Meteor DP8700 XL+ in live production, visit MGI at Booth #3013 during GRAPH EXPO on September 28th – October 1st in Chicago, IL.
