Industry Experts Highlight Cross Media Brand Development Strategies

Chicago, IL – With well over 150 in attendance from the Chicago area creative and design community, “The Art of Possibilities” highlighted leading-edge digital and print-based marketing campaigns using cross media technologies.  The event, held in Chicago on June 24, 2014, was jointly sponsored by Midland Paper, Packaging + Supplies, Graphic Arts Studio, HP Indigo and AIGA - Chicago (American Institute of Graphic Arts),.

Keynote speakers for the evening included Kit Hinrichs, Principal and Creative Director for Studio Hinrichs and Doris Brown-McNally, Media Convergence and Graphic Solutions Business at Hewlett-Packard.   Both presented real-life examples where companies have built and implemented cross media digital campaigns that significantly improved their ROI.  Attendees were given insight into the breadth of opportunities for the design community to incorporate one to one personalization and variable printing into their customer’s marketing programs.

Midland Paper’s involvement in this unique event is a natural extension of its continued commitment to growth and leadership in the specialty paper and film media markets.  “Sponsorship and support of events like ‘The Art of Possibilities’ clearly differentiates Midland Paper, Packaging + Supplies from the rest of the pack – no doubt about it” said Mike Ratcliff, Midland VP and General Manager for Midland’s Specialty Paper and Film Division. “In a time of turmoil and change within the merchant distribution channel, Midland can be counted on to support our customers’ growth and success by offering the largest selection of in-stock digital media in the industry.”

Supplier Partners who generously donated to the event included CTI Paper USA, Convertible Solutions, Finch, Nekoosa, Sappi and Yupo.

With over $850 million in annual sales, Midland Paper, Packaging + Supplies is one of the largest independently owned merchant distributors in North America.
