50% Exhibit Space Increase at Indoplas, Indopack, and Indoprint 2014

Three months before the second staging of INDOPLAS, INDOPACK (incorporating INDOPROCESS) and INDOPRINT 2014, Indonesia’s leading international events for the plastic, processing, packaging and printing industries, the booked exhibit space is already about 50% larger than at the previous staging in 2012. The use of an additional hall at planned in order to accommodate the anticipated 400 international exhibitors from over 20 countries. With 60% of the exhibitors coming from overseas, the three trade fairs will have strong international participation.

Jointly organized by Messe Düsseldorf Asia and local partner PT. Wahana Kemalaniaga Makmur (WAKENI), INDOPLAS, INDOPACK and INDOPRINT will take place from September 3– 6, 2014 at the Jakarta International Expo in Indonesia. The synergistic trade fairs are modeled after the world’s leading trade fairs in the plastics, processing, packaging and printing sectors – K, interpack and drupa, organized by Messe Düsseldorf in Germany.

In addition to the individual exhibitors and country group exhibits from Austria, China, Germany, Taiwan and Singapore, this year’s event will for the first time also feature national pavilions from Italy and Thailand. The Austrian pavilion at INDOPLAS 2014 will be double the size compared to 2012. A strong German presence will be evident across all three sectors with space reserved by industry leaders including Arburg, Heidelberg, Koenig and Bauer Group (KBA), Kolbus, Merz and Reifenhäuser.

The strong growth in exhibitor participation from renowned global brand names such as Andritz, ASABA, ENGEL, EREMA, Formative Tech, Geiss, ifw mould tec, Kraiburg TPE Technology, MORETTO, Nagasaki, Panji Media Pratama, Piovan Asia Pacific, Rotometrics (SE Asia), SML Maschinengesellschaft, Starlinger, TIPPS, Weldy and Wittmann Kunststoffgeräte indicates the related industries’ confidence in the Indonesian market.

Participation from Indonesia’s most competitive market leaders include Best Ink, Maxipro, Digital Prima Imaging, Digital Visual Teknologi, Eka Maju Mesinindo, Growtech Anugerah Lestari, Illies Engineering Indonesia, Indokarta Printmate, Master Label, Mimaki Indonesia and Panji Media Pratama as well as Rieckermann Indonesia, Sansin Indonesia, Tosi Jasindo and Tunas Mitra Sukses.

According to Rini Sumardi, Director of WAKENI, the strong internationality of the exhibitors together with the increased participation from Indonesian suppliers and manufacturers reflects Indonesia’s huge potential as a highly attractive business location. The three trade fairs are an ideal platform to enter this market. “INDOPLAS, INDOPACK incorporating INDOPROCESS and INDOPRINT 2014 come precisely at the right time. As Indonesia is in need of more sophisticated and innovative technology materials, driven by rapid expansion of the middle class, demand for infrastructure and property development, its large manufacturing base as well as strong resources industry, gaining capabilities and cost efficiency will be key concerns in the near future for Indonesian companies to stay competitive,” stated Rini Sumardi.

Budi Susanto Sadiman, Vice Chairman of Business Development, INAplas (The Indonesian Olefin, Aromatic and Plastic Associations), welcomes the INDOPLAS, INDOPACK, AND INDOPRINT exhibitions since they will provide strategic opportunities to source for new solutions for the processing of naphtha and expand the business network of Indonesian entrepreneurs: “While the government’s effort to set the Domestic Market Obligation (DMO) level for the petrochemical industry feedstock, naphtha and condensate will reduce dependency on imported naphtha and condensate, 60% of domestic naphtha demands, which reached 1.8 million tons, are still imported from abroad. Despite of this, huge amounts of naphtha and condensate produced in Indonesia have been widely exported abroad.“

INDOPLAS, INDOPACK and INDOPRINT 2014 will present the full range of the plastics, processing, packaging and printing value chain - from raw materials and processing methods, machinery and equipment to innovative solutions and finished components. At the premiere 2012 edition, some 253 exhibitors from 19 countries presented their latest developments to more than 17,000 international trade visitors.
