Italian print firm invests in KBA Rapida 106 with inline finishing

Press release from the issuing company

Ruggeri Grafiche is a traditional printing plant based in Modena, Italy. In 2007 the company was taken over by new owners.

One of the new investments made after this new beginning was a KBA Rapida 105 with six printing units, coater, delivery extension as well as kit for high-quality inline finishing with conventional and UV coating. The press is equipped with additional packages for handling board and enabling hybrid production. The fully integrated commercial printing firm predominantly uses the press for the fast production of covers.

This year the print experts from Ruggeri invested once again in press technology from KBA. In Autumn a Rapida 106 with eleven printing and finishing units will be installed in the company’s new building. KBA-Italia will move the firm’s existing Rapida 105 which has been in operation since 2008 to the new building. The new Rapida 106 is armed with seven inking units, a coater and two drying units which are followed by a further printing unit. Perfecting after the first printing unit as well as a triple delivery extension with VariDry IR/TA/UV dryers round off the press’ features. It is expected to print on board and film. It will also be equipped with automatic plate changers, combined washing systems CleanTronic Multi for the alternating use of conventional and UV inks as well as CleanTronic UV. The emission-laden air will be extracted by an EES(Emission Extraction System) at the delivery to create optimum working conditions for the printers.

Optimum working conditions, harmony between employees and customers, honesty and attentiveness are the pillars of Ruggeri Grafiche’s company philosophy. Along with complying to ISO norms, the firm places great importance on environmental matters and Ruggeri has held the FSC certification for many years. Thus the firm is able to compete with the sector’s big players and offer high-quality print products thanks to cutting-edge technology.
