NPES Print Business Outlook Conference 2014 Program Announced

Second Annual Educational Event to Provide Industry-wide Update on Current Trends in the Global Marketplace

Reston, VAPrinters seeking opportunities to grow their businesses need look no further than the NPES Print Business Outlook Conference 2014, coming February 18, 2014to the Hyatt Regency in Chennai, India. Produced by NPES The Association for Suppliers of Printing, Publishing and Converting Technologies and the Indian Printing Packaging & Allied Machinery Manufacturers' Association (IPAMA), this second annual event themed "Printing Business Beyond Boundaries" will bring together more than 200 print leaders representing commercial printers, newspaper publishers and package printing markets.

The one-day program slated to provide an industry-wide update on current trends in the global marketplace is supported by: Platinum Sponsor, Konica Minolta; Gold sponsor, EFI; along with HP, QuadTech, Air Motion Systems, Toyo Ink, and Rapid Blanket Restorer India. Opening the program will be NPES President Ralph Nappi who will discuss the findings from the newly updated landmark study, "World-wide Market for Print: Identifying Global Opportunities for the Print Industry." The research for this just released study was conducted for NPES by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).

Next up, a welcome address by James Golsen, Principal Commercial Officer, U.S. Consulate, Chennai, will be immediately followed by the day's first technical session titled "Digital Printing—Building the Business," a panel discussion moderated by Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Gannett Distinguished Professor Administrative Chair, School of Media Sciences, Chris Bondy, that will feature experts from Konica Minolta Business Solutions, Hewlett Packard, and EFI.

The afternoon programming will continue with educational presentations on:

  • "Indian Packaging Industry Overview," with B.S. Kampani, Managing Director, Toyo Ink; and, the afternoon will close out with
