xpedx Delivers Wide Format Solutions to More Than 900 Printers at 2013 Summits

Press release from the issuing company

Expanded schedule created more opportunities for printers to grow their businesses

CINCINNATI, Ohio – xpedx, a leading business-to-business distributor of printing, packaging and facility solutions products and services, recently completed its 14-city Wide Format Solutions Summits which introduced wide format printing strategies and equipment to more than 900 printers.

“During the Summits, we met hundreds of printers who wanted to learn how they could tap in to the $30 billion wide format printing industry,” said Dennis Killion, xpedx Director, Marketing-Graphics. “At each of our stops, printers saw how to grow their businesses by taking advantage of the wide format printing resources and equipment that xpedx can provide to them.”

Killion thanked all of the print service providers who attended. xpedx team members at each of the 14 host sites were also thankful for the suppliers who contributed to the success of the Summits.

xpedx developed the Summits partly to engage with printers who may not have had the business plan or equipment to get started in wide format. Established wide format printers also found value in the Summits, however, through discussions with substrate and equipment providers about alternative uses for wide format media and technology. At each Summit, printers from all backgrounds shared their exciting new wide format ideas – from custom lamp shades to personalized garage flooring and casino wall coverings.

The Summits included a presentation featuring wide format insight and advice from InfoTrends, a print technology strategy and consulting firm. Guests also had the unique opportunity to view demonstrations on the latest equipment, media and substrates, all within a few steps of each other.

“Whether you’re just thinking about entering the wide format business or looking to upgrade your equipment, xpedx can help with any stage of the process,” Killion said. “Even as we close our second successful year of the Summits, printers can still access wide format printing expertise, supplies and equipment from the broad xpedx distribution network.”
