ISO 3664:2009 D50 compliant large format vertical viewing area to be featured at SGIA Show
Newburgh, NY – GTI Graphic Technology, Inc. the leading manufacturer of lighting systems for critical color viewing, color communication, and color match assessment today announced that its new Vertical Wall Viewing System will be featured at the SGIA Expo which takes place from October 23rd to 25th at the Orange County Convention in Orlando, Florida.
GTI’s Vertical Wall Systems provide an ISO 3664:2009 D50 compliant large format vertical viewing area. Vertical Wall Systems are an optimized combination of overhead luminaires, viewing lamps, and accessories (wall panels, neutral gray paint, mounting options).
GTI’s Graphiclite luminaires feature an innovative parabolic lens design that provides superb light uniformity over a large vertical area. GTI luminaires utilize Graphiclite 100 Color Viewing Lamps that are engineered to provide precisely balanced D50 light output. Mounting brackets and Munsell Neutral 8 gray wall steel panels ensure that the system is safely installed and properly positioned for maximum viewing efficiency.
Robert McCurdy, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at GTI states, “Output from today’s large format printers is excellent. However, the output often needs to be viewed in controlled lighting conditions in order to ensure that brand integrity and color fidelity is maintained. GTI Wall Systems create an ISO 3664:2009 compliant viewing area that allows the viewer to stand as close as an inch in front of the artwork without a casting a shadow.” McCurdy adds, “In addition to large format output GTI’s Vertical Wall Systems can be used to view packaging applications, fine art, textiles, plastics, and other products that require accurate color reproduction.”
GTI at SGIA 2013
During the SGIA Expo, GTI will be located in booth # 340. In addition to the Vertical Wall Viewing System the following products will be featured on GTI’s stand.
The SOFV-1xiQ system includes a desktop viewing station and the innovative iQ wireless light sensor. The sensor is used to automate the luminance match between a color monitor and the viewing station. The viewing station features an integrated processor that enables wireless communication with the iQ sensor, automatic luminance matching, automatic calibration and ambient light monitoring ensuring that ISO 3664:2009 D50 color viewing standards are met.
SCV - Simultaneous Color Viewer
The SCV is a desktop lighting system that allows side-by-side visual comparisons of a color sample under four visible light sources plus a separately controlled UV source.
PDV Professional Desktop Viewers
The PDV e series provides optimal viewing conditions for prints, proofs, transparencies, and digital images. PDV e viewers offer a small footprint and viewing areas ranging from 11.7” x 16.3” to 23.5” x 23.3.” All units feature a unique hinged design for easy transport. Viewers are available with dimming for soft proofing, side walls, and upper & lower luminaires.
CRD - Color Rendition Demonstrator
The Color Rendition Demonstrator is a portable three-compartment viewer that demonstrates the color rendition of three varied light sources - fluorescent cool-white "store light", 6500K fluorescent "daylight", and incandescent "home light."
In booth #854 Nazdar will show a MiniMatcher, which is a compact multi-source viewing station that is ideal for the inspection of textiles, cosmetics, paints, coatings, packaging, and other dimensional items. The MM-1e and MM-2e provide three standard light sources, artificial daylight, store light, and home light. Ultraviolet is available as an option. The MM-4e offers five standard light sources.
