Press release from the issuing company

BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. – Maestro Media Print Solutions was a finalist in the Michigan Minority Supplier of the Year award program held by the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC).

Based in Bloomfield Hills, Maestro is a full-service print management company that has achieved annual double-digit growth rates over the past five years.

Shiva Palaniswami, the company’s president and CEO, and Thomas Donnellon, Maestro’s chairman and founder, were recognized at the MMSDC’s 30th annual awards program, held recently at the Fox Theatre in Detroit. More than 1,000 business leaders attended, including executives from AAA, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Comerica, Ford, General Motors, Chrysler, Google and Steelcase.

Maestro was recognized for its innovative business solutions, sales performance, job creation and community involvement.  Working with more than 1,000 printers across North America, Maestro helps companies streamline the procurement of paper products and printing. The graphic arts industry in Michigan employs more than 25,000 people – the state’s third largest employer.

“Our Maestro team of employees, suppliers and customers are honored to have been included as a finalist in this prestigious awards program,” said Palaniswami. “It recognizes our efforts as a dedicated corporate citizen to create jobs and encourage workplace diversity.”

Donnellon, the company’s founder, noted that Maestro contributes up to 10 percent of its annual net profits to community organizations and charities.

Maestro’s expertise in print-supply-chain management, including print production, paper procurement, postage and logistics, has helped customers reduce their overall print costs by up to 50 percent, according to Palaniswami.

“We’re able to weed out unnecessary costs to maximize efficiency and economies of scale throughout a client’s supply chain,” Palaniswami said. “Our proprietary TurboPrint™ web-based software provides customers with a safe, secure project-management system that is designed specifically for print procurement.”

Maestro is a certified Minority Business Enterprise, recognized by the National Minority Supplier Development Council and the MMBDC, which has certified the company as a Tier One minority business.  Maestro’s customers include Fortune 500 companies, as well as mid-size businesses providing consumer products and services.
