The scholarship will support students who are preparing for careers in printing and document communications. The partnership stems from the two organization’s shared philosophy of integrating 21st Century Learning skills into their programs. 

HURST, Texas U.S.A - Picaboo Yearbooks today announced their partnership with the Electronic Document Scholarship Foundation (EDSF), an international non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the value and relevance of document and graphics communications worldwide. Picaboo Yearbooks will donate proceeds of every yearbook project created through EDSF to fund the college educations of the next generation of digital content and delivery professionals. 

“As a catalyst for education and research initiatives, EDSF’s vision aligns perfectly with our 21st Century Yearbook Program. The Picaboo Scholarship through EDSF will help the recipients pursue their academic dreams to become future industry innovators,” said Picaboo Yearbooks President, Bryan Payne.

Picaboo Yearbooks’ commitment to fostering 21st Century Learning skills through an enriched and forward-thinking yearbook curriculum sparked the partnership with EDSF.

“Since the focus of both EDSF and Picaboo Yearbooks is centered on students, this partnership is a real win for everyone.  It is a great way for schools to engage students in the publishing process through an easy and effective management system and at the same time provide funding for much needed college scholarships,” said EDSF Executive Director, Brenda Kai.

Through this partnership, both parties hope to attract the best and brightest students in the industry to apply for the scholarship. The scholarship criteria includes scholastic achievement, honors, participation in school and community activities and organizational affiliations. Applicants must be full-time students, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and the school must be accredited. EDSF will begin accepting applications for 2014 in mid-January through May 1st.  The application with criteria and instructions will be available in January on the website at: www.edsf.org.
